Remember, you are not the only employer. If your employee does not feel valued, even if he is one of the best ones, he will change routes, to a new company.

As a manager or leader, you know all the positives and negatives of your employees. But sometimes you cannot catch hold of minor faults in even the oldest of your team members. Who knows better about one another than the ones working together for 9-5? It may even happen that sometimes one of your favorite employee may just be creating a fake bubble of goodness and might be actually the rotten fruit of the box.

In such cases, your employees are the only ones who can help you find it out. Having private feedback and opinion sessions with each one of them can bring to surface many hidden issues, even the bad employees.

So, as a good leader, it is important to consider your employees' opinions and feedback also. We don’t say that you should blindly follow every opinion received, but they can at least help you gain an insight about important matters.
